Golden Monkey is one of the world’s high-quality black teas, and was selected as the White House banquet tea in 2011. Golden monkey is a black tea meaning it undergoes processing including fermenting and roasting. When the tea leaves are roasted, they oxidize and become black tea. Black tea contains a variety of water-soluble vitamins, regular drinking black tea helps promote blood circulation, food digestion and warms the body. The fresh leaves of Golden Monkey black tea are picked from Wuyi mountain ecological tea garden, the fresh tea leaves usually a single bud or one bud and one leaf. The brewed tea is red and bright, the taste is mild , and the aroma is strong. [Brewing Method ] Put 3-5g tea leaves in a pot or a Gaiwan set, moisten the tea leaves by pouring about 200ml of boiling water (100 degrees) over tea leaves and discarding this initial brew; then pour about 200ml boiling water to brew tea. The first steep will take about 30-40 seconds. Each subsequent steep will take 10 seconds longer than the previous one.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note: The ratio of tea to water is about 1:50. The amount of tea poured is 3\u20135g for a more mellow taste, and 5-8g has a strong taste.
